  I'm loath to give this low of a rating to a place that has netted me a life bird, but unfriendly stewardship has consistently fostered a fraught relationship with the birding community with a combination of unleashed dogs on the property and mean-spirited and erratic treatment of birding guides and organizations. Favoritism and intimidation are poor business strategies, especially when virtually every canyon here may net you rare local specialties given sufficient time and effort. It's a shame because I really want to laud their efforts at protecting wildlife such as the Chiricahua Leopard Frog. With luck, this location may still be a productive part of one's southeast Arizona birding tour (especially if one's primary encounters are with the son rather than the father), but it's important to be forewarned, especially as recent reports indicate a downturn in the upkeep of the once-heralded hummingbird viewing areas.
